Microsoft Club Live Games Solved. Flexicon, Clink, CrossWire, and Dingbats solutions search

This is a follow-up post to my last post Microsoft is desperate. After writing up a quick Anagram solver for Chicktionary, I’ve fixed up the script to handle some other games as well. Now the new GreaseMonkey script can help with Flexicon, Clink, CrossWire and Dingbats. To get the most out of them (for Club Live), you should

follow these instructions.

The Easy Way

If you are not using FireFox, or you are not running the GreaseMonkey plug-in, you can direct navigate to http://www.anagramssolved.com . The tools are all present there in the same form and function. However, you will have to switch between multiple windows if you’re trying to gather points quickly.

The Best Way

For those of you using IE, you should probably install Firefox.
. Once you install that, get GreaseMonkey, then the new script for Microsoft Club Live Helper. The script works by replacing the Live Search with http://www.anagramssolved.com/. The site makes available an Anagram Solver, and searchable solutions for Clink, CrossWire, Dingbats, and Flexicon. For the searchable solutions, you can also use the available Google Search box to search for individual clues if you’d rather solve the puzzles yourself.

To the people complaining about cheating…This is not cheating. The old bots like Live Macro (and especially Nuke) were definitely cheating. Microsoft got nothing out of those players. (Admittedly, including myself.) But people using this site, and even autotyper are still giving Microsoft lots of hits to their search page. Maybe not QUITE as many hits since there will be fewer wrong answers typed in.they are doing it for the publicity, and they are getting it. Like all marketing ideas, Microsoft is spending money now in the hopes that some people will stick around and use Live Search instead of Google. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t. But it is not cheating.

It’ll be interesting to see if things change when the Yahoo deal eventually comes back into play, which it almost certainly will. Wil Microsoft continue this, or will they focus on increasing their combined market share other ways. We’ll see.

How come the flexicon screen w/ this grease monkey is too small? I can’t reach the very end to click the magnifying glasses…

im stuck with the script the flexicon window gets small when i search and i cant quit and get my points or i cant get to the magnifying glass to finish it arghhhhhhhh!!!!
